| Based on the Ultra2 SCSI controller, the SYM53C895 from Symbios Logic, the CP360 provides LVD (Low Voltage Differential) signalling for SCSI. LVDlink™ technology (Symbios Logic's implementation of LVD transceivers) eliminates the distance and device onstraints that exist in today's Ultra SCSI single-ended designs while offering higher data transfer rates. Depending on SCSI bus connections, bus cabling conditions are sensed and the universal LVDlink transceivers automatically select single-ended or LVD SCSI modes and indicate the mode via the LVD LED. Active, onboard SCSI bus termination allows the user to do away with traditional termination devices. The on-board BIOS comes complete with a built-in, ready-to-use SCSI configuration utility. |
