| ETXexpress®-690 is based on the module concept of the open Standard COM Express™ (by PICMG®). The new ETXexpress®-690 module is based on AMD Turion™ or Sempron™ processor as well as the AMD M690E and AMD SB600 chipset. The M690E chip is validated for Windows Vista®. PCI Express is the primary data path for upcoming x86 based systems. PCI components such as PCI plug-in cards can still be supported with the PCI 2.3 32 Bit Interface. Gigabit Ethernet based on PCI Express for high connectivity and 8 x USB 2.0 provides fast interfaces for external peripherals. COM Express™ modules also will provide the following interfaces that are always located in the same physical position on each board, thus guaranteeing scaleability between modules: PCI Express, PCI, USB, 4 x Serial ATA, Parallel ATA, LVDS as well as an ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) for optimized power management.
